This SATB Latin motet, setting to music John 12:32, 23, 31 (texts from the liturgy for Saturday in Passion Week), is, for me, an unusually dissonant piece. It would work if the choir has excellent intonation and a music program that already regularly includes modern choral works.

Et ego, si exaltatus fuero a terra, omnia traham ad meipsum. Venit hora, ut clarificetur Filius hominis. Nunc judicium est mundi: nunc princeps hujus mundi ejicietur foras.

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all things to myself. The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. Now is the judgment of the world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

(John 12:32, 23, 31)
